Edmonton Oilers Playoffs 2017

Oilers Fall To Ducks In Game 7, End Playoff Run

Ducks Win 4-3

The Anaheim Ducks have punched a ticket to the Western Conference Finals after defeating the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in Game 7 on Wednesday night in Anaheim. Oilers' forward Connor McDavid notched a goal late in the third period but it was not enough to force overtime.

Anaheim forward Andrew Cogliano scored the game-winning goal late in the third period after the Ducks had tied the game earlier in the period. Oilers goalie Cam Talbot had 26 saves in the loss, while Ducks goalie John Gibson stopped 22.

The Oilers end their season with a 43-31-8 record, while the Ducks improve to 47-26-9.

Anaheim will open the Western Conference Finals at home against the Nashville Predators on Friday night.
